The Cleveland Cavaliers have just 10 regular-season games remaining until the postseason, starting with their Thursday night matchup against the San Antonio Spurs.
With only 10 games left on the schedule, the Cavaliers are 4.5 games ahead of the Boston Celtics for the No. 1 spot in the Eastern Conference, feeling confident about their position.
While this is a strong lead, it’s not insurmountable, and the Cavaliers need to keep their foot on the gas for the rest of the season.
Entering the playoffs on a winning streak is usually positive, and if teams start to let up at the end of the year, they could get surprised by a playoff team that needs to be scrappy to secure their spot.
With that in mind, the Cavaliers will be without Evan Mobley and Jaylon Tyson against the Spurs on Thursday night, with Ty Jerome questionable for this matchup, per Evan Dammarell.
Evan Mobley (rest) and Jaylon Tyson (knee) are OUT when the #Cavs host the San Antonio Spurs.
Ty Jerome (knee) is questionable and will likely be a game-time decision.

Mobley is just resting, but Tyson’s knee injury will certainly be something to watch over the next several games.
If he misses much more time, the Cavaliers run the risk of having less depth in the playoffs.
Seeing this team without Mobley is always an interesting watch, as he has been spectacular in the post all year.
Without him, the Cavaliers can struggle on the boards, and scoring can sometimes be an issue.
Thankfully, the Spurs are missing several of their star players due to injury, so this should be a relatively easy game for the Cavaliers to win on paper, even without Mobley and Tyson.
