The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, and two players made history during the game.
Cavs Notes on X highlighted that Darius Garland made his 200th three-pointer of the season during the game.
That means that Garland with 200 three-pointers and Donovan Mitchell with 225 of them are now the first pair of teammates in franchise history to each have 200+ three-pointers in the same season.
It’s no surprise that this is one of the most feared backcourts in the entire league.

Garland made a single three-point shot during Wednesday’s game, while Mitchell sank three of his seven attempts.
Their work from beyond the arc was just one of the reasons why the Cavs beat the Knicks 124-105.
All season long, other teams have come to hate the pairing of Garland and Mitchell.
They have been working together for a couple of seasons but are looking better than ever this year.
They are both having breakout seasons, and Mitchell’s name has been tossed around as a potential MVP pick.
It remains to be seen where he ultimately lands in that race, although it seems that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder is still the frontrunner.
Regardless of the awards they win, Garland and Mitchell look great together and fans hope it remains this way in the upcoming seasons.
When they were first put together, some people were afraid that they wouldn’t work well side-by-side.
But this latest historic achievement proves that it isn’t the case and this is a match made in heaven.
