The Cleveland Cavaliers are commanding attention with their impressive nine-game home winning streak as they prepare to face the Toronto Raptors.
Their dominance against conference opponents stands at 12-1, while their paint presence remains formidable, averaging 54.2 points per game.
Toronto faces a challenging matchup visiting this red-hot Cleveland squad.
However, a recent practice update revealed mixed news for the Cavaliers faithful.
“Cavs Dean Wade (ankle) and Caris LeVert (knee) did not practice today. Isaac Okoro (ankle) and Sam Merrill (ankle) were full participants,” Ethan Sands of Cleveland.com wrote on X.

Max Strus is here, but he’ll be re-evaluated next week. He was doing free throws when media was allowed in. #LetEmKnow

The silver lining came in the form of Okoro and Merrill’s full participation following their respective ankle injuries.
Max Strus also made an appearance at practice, showing progress in his recovery from a preseason ankle sprain.
Sands observed Strus working on free throws during the media session, though his official re-evaluation remains scheduled for next week.
Wade’s situation warrants particular attention. After starting the season as Strus’ replacement, he transitioned to a bench role before spraining his ankle and missing two games.
Despite head coach Kenny Atkinson’s assurance that Wade is “progressing nicely,” no timeline has been set for his return.
Following practice, Wade engaged in shooting drills with coaches and trainers, testing his ankle through both stationary and movement-based shots.
LeVert’s season has been interrupted by persistent knee inflammation, causing him to miss four games thus far.
The Cavaliers continue to monitor his condition closely, but his availability for the game against the Raptors appears unlikely.
The timeline for his return remains uncertain as the team prioritizes his full recovery.
