The Cleveland Cavaliers are preparing for significant roster changes after a disappointing playoff exit that left questions about their championship potential.
Despite earning the top seed in the Eastern Conference during the regular season, the Cavaliers fell short of expectations when it mattered most.
Now the front office reportedly is taking action to address those concerns, actively shopping two key players as it looks to retool the roster.
“The Cleveland Cavaliers have placed Dean Wade and Isaac Okoro on the trade block, per Sam Amico,” NBA Central wrote on X.

This move signals Cleveland’s commitment to making meaningful changes rather than running it back with the same group that stumbled in the postseason.
Wade and Okoro have served as reliable contributors but may not fit the evolving vision under head coach Kenny Atkinson.
Okoro, who was selected No. 5 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft, has yet to develop into the impact player Cleveland hoped for when they made that selection.
In his fourth season, he averaged 6.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 19.1 minutes per game.
While those numbers show steady contribution, they fall short of starter’s expectations for a former lottery pick.
Wade has filled a complementary role in Cleveland’s rotation, posting 5.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game in 21.2 minutes per contest.
His versatility made him a valuable bench piece, but the Cavaliers appear ready to explore other options.
The crowded rotation has created a logjam that limits playing time for several players.
With De’Andre Hunter, Max Strus and other wings competing for minutes, Wade and Okoro saw their roles diminish under the new coaching staff.
