Thursday night’s win for the Cleveland Cavaliers was memorable for a few reasons but it was downright life-changing for one player.
Nae’Qwan Tomlin scored his first NBA bucket during the game, a fact that was celebrated by the rest of his team.
A video shared by the Cavaliers on X featured Donovan Mitchell calling out Tomlin, bringing him into the center of the team, and praising him for his accomplishment.
Tomlin, quiet but appreciative, had a huge smile on his face as the rest of his teammates rooted for him.

This was Tomlin’s first game with the Cavaliers this season and his first NBA match.
On Thursday, the team announced that Tomlin had agreed to a 10-day contract with Cleveland.
He had played five games with the team back in the NBA Summer League after going undrafted last year.
He signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the team ahead of training camp and then started the season with the Cleveland Charge in the G-League.
With the Charge, Tomlin has been putting up 15.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game, shooting 36.2 percent from the three-point line.
When the Cavaliers were tasked with signing a 14th player to their roster by Thursday, Tomlin was a perfect fit and he got started with their win over the Nets.
Although he was only on the court for a bit over three minutes and scored a single bucket and free throw, it was still a huge moment for him and the team is clearly very fond of their newcomer.
Will we be seeing more of him in the days ahead?
Even if we don’t, it’s nice to see that the rest of the Cavaliers support Tomlin so much.
