Even though they didn’t make the playoffs last season, you could tell that the Cleveland Cavaliers really wanted to win.
Their hearts were definitely in every single game – in fact, sometimes they were in every single possession.
True, that didn’t result in them making the postseason but it showed that this is a team that is going to push itself hard.

You can feel that passion and drive in several of the key players for the Cavs, including big man Jarrett Allen.
Allen had one heck of a season and was a force to be reckoned with.
If it weren’t for a nasty injury that sidelined him for many games, Allen could have pushed his team into the playoffs for the first time in years.
When you watched him play, you saw a man that was smothering his competition and was like a magnet to some of the best names in the game.
Is Allen about to have another All-Star season?
All-Star Allen
Allen was an All-Star for the first time in the 2021-22 season.
It makes total sense: the center put up 16.1 points and 10.8 rebounds a game.
He played fearless defense, refusing to let anyone get an easy bucket or even get in proximity to the rim without some serious pushback.
His defense became a pivotal part of the team’s success and he looked and felt like the missing piece Cleveland needed.
Unfortunately, he only played in 56 games due to injury.
His exit from the team really hurt them and they started to flounder without Allen.
They ultimately got close to making the playoffs but they didn’t have enough power to get across the finish line.
The biggest goal for the team in the upcoming season is to change that and finally return to the playoffs.
If they do, Allen will definitely be a part of it.
