With a 12-0 record, the Cleveland Cavaliers have become one of the biggest stories in the NBA early this season.
They have come out as one of the best offensive teams in the league under new head coach Kenny Atkinson, and some are wondering if they’re in the process of making themselves into legitimate championship contenders.
While the usual men are leading the way for the Cavaliers, they have also received some fine play from Ty Jerome, who is playing some of the best basketball of his career.

Jerome is a 6-foot-5 guard who was the No. 24 pick in the 2019 draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and was signed as a free agent by Cleveland prior to last season.
He played in just two games for the Cavs last season, but so far this year, he’s averaging 16.5 minutes a game.
Overall, it has been a team effort for them, as starting point guard Darius Garland and big man Evan Mobley have both increased their offensive production this season compared to last season.
In fact, according to Brian Windhorst, Mobley is playing like Draymond Green, the Golden State Warriors’ Swiss Army knife who has always been one of basketball’s best defenders.
Mobley is averaging 18.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 blocked shots a game while shooting 56.1 percent from the field, while Garland has made 45.9 percent of his 3-point attempts.
The Cavs will have a couple of opportunities to prove they’re for real when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday and play the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics next Tuesday.
