There are many reasons for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ amazing record so far.
A team doesn’t secure a 12-0 record without multiple great players at the peak of their abilities.
For example, Evan Mobley is having a fantastic season.
On ESPN Cleveland, Brian Windhorst said, “Kenny Atkinson has Evan Mobley playing like Draymond Green.”
Transforming Mobley into one of the best defensive stars in the league is a great idea and it is part of why the Cavaliers are doing so well.

Atkinson actually spent years working with Green because he was an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors for three seasons.
During that time, he got to see Green’s greatness up close and likely took some notes about how powerful he was.
Windhorst highlighted Cleveland’s latest game, when Mobley was very good at facilitating the ball at the perfect time, kicking out to shooters in the corner who were ready to post crucial three-pointers.
That is a vintage Green move.
For the season, Mobley is averaging 18.1 points and 8.8 rebounds, shooting 56.1 percent from the field.
He is definitely playing better this year and there are people who say he could be in the conversation for Most Improved Player when the season comes to an end.
The great news for Cleveland is that Mobley isn’t the only amazing star playing so well right now.
From Darius Garland to Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen, Caris LeVert, Ty Jerome, and others, the Cavaliers are filled with stars playing outstanding basketball.
Mobley has tweaked his game and possibly modeled after Green, which is working out very well for Cleveland.
