The Cleveland Cavaliers started this season with a 15-0 record, something that not many people saw coming.
The Cavaliers were a playoff team last year, but many expected them to perform similarly to how they played last season.
While much of their core roster is still together, they were able to mesh and get more chemistry in the offseason that they didn’t previously have, which has turned into the team that fans see today.
Despite some tension coming into the year, Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland have turned into one of the best dynamic duos in the league.
With that combination in mind, paired with the team’s strong start to the year, the Cavaliers are now among the top ten teams in the league in both offense and defense, per StatMuse.
StatMuse also highlighted that there are only two other teams that hold that metric at the moment: the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks.

While the Mavericks have gotten slightly unlucky in the win column, the Warriors, similarly to the Cavaliers, have gotten off to a dominant start to the year.
Both teams have been surprising in their own right, but their fanbases are excited by what they’re seeing.
Could we be in for an NBA Finals rematch between these two teams?
It might be too early to tell at the moment, but early signs are indicating that both of these organizations have found ways to win with the teams they’ve constructed, and can hopefully sustain them throughout the year.
