The Cleveland Cavaliers are the top team in the East right now with a stunning 12-0 record.
The season is still young and there are many games left, but Brian Windhorst thinks they could be this great all year long.
Speaking to ESPN Cleveland, Windhorst said, “The Cavs have a shot at the one seed.”
He thinks they are currently building a cushion of wins, which will help them in the months ahead if they hit a rough patch.
Even with missteps, they could remain the top team in their conference, which would give them the coveted homecourt advantage when the playoffs start.

There is a lot of talent in the Eastern Conference but the Cavaliers are currently better than everyone else.
The Boston Celtics are in second place with 9-2, while the Indiana Pacers sit behind them with 5-5.
After that, the rest of the teams have losing records and are falling further and further away from the Cavs.
Every win they secure at the start of the season will give them more breathing room in case they start to mess up later down the road.
They have a perfect record right now but there is no doubt the Cavaliers will lose games eventually.
Still, they have a great shot at being the top seed in their conference, at least right now.
The rest of the teams in the East could get better, start winning more, and become more competitive.
Until then, the Cavaliers will sit on top and continue to try to build on their historic record.
