Just a couple of weeks ago, Darius Garland cost the Cleveland Cavaliers a win.
He went to the free-throw line for the potential to get a one-point lead over the Houston Rockets.
Then, despite being a 90% free-throw shooter, he missed two of them, and the Cavs lost by one point.
Fortunately, sports always give players a chance to redeem themselves, and that’s what he did on Wednesday night.
With the score tied at 115 apiece, Garland hit a long three-pointer as time expired.
The home crowd in Detroit was left in awe.

The Cavs have dominated the Pistons over the past couple of years, but this may have been their most heartbreaking loss to them in recent memory.
Donovan Mitchell missed the game, leaving Garland as the de facto leader, and he rose to the occasion.
The two-time All-Star finished the game with 25 points on 8-of-18 from the floor, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.
Garland also grabbed three rebounds, handed out five assists, and had one block.
The Cavs desperately needed to bounce back after a subpar outing vs. the Boston Celtics.
While the Pistons aren’t a championship-caliber team by any means, this kind of emotional win is always a big boost.
