The Cleveland Cavaliers are the best team in the NBA right now.
That means they also have a huge target on their backs.
As such, teams will always look to give them their best effort, and things might get a little fiery as a result.
With that in mind, during his press availability ahead of the All-Star Game, the media asked Evan Mobley to share his thoughts on the league’s biggest trash-talker.
After giving it some thought, he said that Houston Rockets guard/forward Dillon Brooks was as much of a villain as the fans and media portray him to be.
He also jokingly said that Sam Merrill might be the worst trash-talker in the game, as he doesn’t even talk to anybody.
Brooks’ reputation precedes him.
He came out of the blue as a role player to all of a sudden make a name for himself for being a trash-talker.
Unfortunately for him, he has rarely been able to back it up.
He didn’t even show up to face the media after calling out LeBron James, calling him old, and stating that he would lock him up.
That’s not the first incident or time that he’s been singled out, up to the point where the Memphis Grizzlies even stated that they wouldn’t bring him back under any circumstances.
Brooks is a good defensive player who can be an impactful guy on contending teams, but if you talk the talk, you also have to walk the walk.
