Defense is a very important part of the game, and Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers knows that.
He is having a strong season so far and is becoming even better when defending opponents.
On Twitter, SangRockets crunched the numbers and found that competitors are being held to a 46.7% two-point percentage when facing off against Mobley.
That puts him ahead of Anthony Davis, Rudy Gobert, Joel Embiid, and even reigning Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr.

Just a few weeks ago, Mobley kept opponents limited to 47.2% of their two-point shots.
So he has gotten better in a short span of time.
As for the Cavaliers, they have been attempting to patch together several wins in a row but haven’t had any luck.
They are still stuck in a pattern of winning one game and then losing the next one.
However, they had an impressive victory against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night, beating them 109-95.
During that game, Mobley scored 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists and was once again defensively dominant.
For the weeks and months ahead, the Cavaliers will need him to keep limiting opponents and get even better.
The Cavaliers’ frontcourt usually gets the most attention because of the pairing of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland.
But Mobley has been an anchor for the squad for several years now and this could be the season he improves his game even more.
He is in good company with the list, but Mobley will have to continually push himself hard if he wants to overcome players like Davis, Gobert, Embiid, and Jackson.
