The Cleveland Cavaliers’ 2024-2025 NBA season has been nothing short of remarkable.
Following their early playoff loss in 2023, fans hoped the team could bounce back this year, and they have certainly done that in a big way.
This team has put the necessary pieces in place to succeed, and it has panned out in impressive fashion.
One of their most instrumental players is Darius Garland, who is part of an elite one-two punch with Donovan Mitchell.
Mitchell and Garland continue to gel and play well together, a big reason why this team has been so successful.
Garland is appreciative of his role on the team and hopes to bring them on a deep playoff run, but he also has another goal in mind, which he outlined in a recent interview shared by FanDuel Sports Network Cleveland on X.
“It’s a goal of mine. I want to be an all-star. I want to get back to that level of play that I’ve been at, and I’m healthy this season, I plan on being in San Francisco,” Garland said.

Garland wants to represent his team at the All-Star Game, hoping to show the rest of the league what he’s made of.
He’s a big-time player in Cleveland but hasn’t necessarily gotten the national respect he feels he deserves.
An all-star appearance would certainly help showcase his abilities to the rest of the NBA, and it could also help build his confidence for the rest of the season and playoffs.
