The Cleveland Cavaliers were the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference last season.
They finished the season with a 51-31 record, but were eliminated in the First Round of the playoffs against the New York Knicks.
This season, many expected the Cavaliers to be in excellent form right off the bat as well.
However, they have struggled to get going as they currently have a 3-5 record.
But there’s still one silver lining for the Cavaliers, after all, as Evan Mobley is one of the favorites to win the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award this season via NBACentral on Twitter.
Rudy Gobert is the new favorite to win DPOY, per @BovadaOfficial

Minnesota Timberwolves’ Rudy Gobert is the favorite to win the DPOY award with the odds of +600.
Mobley is tied with the NBA’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year in Jaren Jackson Jr., with the odds of +800.
Speaking of Mobley, he has had his fair share of ups and downs already in the regular season.
But ultimately, Mobley is averaging 15.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.1 blocks, and 0.8 steals per game.
Mobley is undoubtedly having a great season from a defensive standpoint, and it won’t be a surprise if the 22-year-old takes home the honor.
However, Mobley’s primary goal should be to lead the Cavaliers to a winning record and clinch a high seed in the Eastern Conference.
Fortunately, the Cavs have most of the regular season ahead of them, and with Jarret Allen and Darius Garland finally returning back to the roster, they can certainly make a push to improve their record.
