Cleveland Cavaliers fans are waiting for news from their team.
At this point, people wouldn’t be surprised if they hear something massive or if they get only a minor update.
The Cavaliers will probably do something this summer, but what?
Speaking to ESPN Cleveland, Brian Windhorst talked about the team and what they are currently considering.
“If you’re asking me, ‘Are the Cavs active in trade talks?’ I have to give you a straight answer. Yes, I think they are, but not because they feel the need to renovate and retrofit their whole team, just because they owe it to themselves,” Windhorst said.
It sounds like the Cavaliers are definitely open to the idea of trades, but not because they think they are mandatory.
They know they owe it to themselves and their fans to consider everything.
If a wonderful package comes to them, they would only be smart to think about pursuing it.
At the same time, they like the team they have now and they don’t wish to break it up unless it’s absolutely necessary.
That suggests that they probably won’t do much in the summer, but the offseason has a way of making people change their minds.
If the rest of the league shakes things up and certain players become available, the Cavaliers may receive some enticing phone calls from other teams.
According to Windhorst, the Cavaliers are in active trade talks, but that doesn’t promise massive adjustments in the weeks ahead.
Of course, something wild could happen, too.
In other words, Cavs fans need to stay tuned.
