The Cleveland Cavaliers have the best record in the NBA right now.
That has been the case for most of the season.
However, people continue to doubt whether they have what it takes to get the job done.
That’s usually what happens with small-market teams.
Nevertheless, even if some continue to doubt them, NBA analyst Sam Amico still believes they can make some noise in the postseason:
“Fans are media are always gonna doubt this team if they are playoff ready because they haven’t shown us before that they are. But I think they are just as capable of anyone and they certainly believe that they can beat the Celtics in a playoff series. I have no reason to doubt them at this point,” Amico said.
Aside from their recent slump, the Cavs have shown that they can compete with the best.
They’ve beaten the Boston Celtics and have gone toe-to-toe with them in the losses, and they also beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in a big win.
The Cavaliers haven’t reached this position as a mere fluke.
They have one of the best defenses in the league and one of the most efficient offenses.
Numbers don’t lie, and those who have watched this team play have to realize that they’re something special.
The Cavaliers might not have the most talent in the league.
They don’t even have a top-ten player in the game right now.
That, combined with their small-market team status, makes people doubt them.
That’s why maintaining good health for the remainder of the season is crucial, as they will need to demonstrate their abilities against the top teams when it counts the most.
Even if they don’t make big moves before the trade deadline, they should still be able to compete at the highest level against all opposition.
