The Cleveland Cavaliers struggled mightily from three-point range in the first half of their game against the Jazz, shooting a dismal 3-of-25 from beyond the arc.
Darius Garland even air-balled an attempt, while the starting five combined for a concerning 1-of-15 performance.
On most nights, this kind of shooting would spell disaster, but the Jazz weren’t faring much better, hitting just 6-of-27 from deep.
Despite their offensive woes, the Cavaliers managed to enter halftime with a six-point advantage, giving them enough breathing room to find their footing as the game went on.

Not all reactions were overwhelmingly positive, though.
One more critical fan pointed out, “Casuals won’t understand but this game was MUCH more about Utah than the Cavs. Cavs still played AWFUL.”
Casuals won't understand but this game was MUCH more about Utah than the Cavs. Cavs still played AWFUL. 11/48 from 3 and 21/31 from FT is beyond terrible. Luckily they were playing the worst team in the league who also didn't have their best player.

Jarrett Allen led the Cavaliers with 18 points – not a particularly impressive total, but it proved sufficient for this matchup.
For once, Cleveland didn’t need to rely on a single player to carry the scoring load.
De’Andre Hunter and Ty Jerome made significant contributions off the bench, combining for 27 points while shooting an efficient 5-of-10 from three-point range.
The game clearly showcased two different halves for the Cavaliers.
After their ice-cold start, they more than tripled their three-point makes in the second half, ultimately finishing 11-of-48 from distance.
While this still represented their worst shooting performance of the season, they found just enough rhythm when it mattered most to secure the win.
