On Friday, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced that they plan to retire the jersey of Kevin Love, who spent nine seasons with the team.
A lot of people will be in attendance when the Cavaliers raise Love’s jersey to the rafters, including a former teammate.
On X, Larry Nance Jr. wrote, “I’ll be there,” ensuring that Love will see plenty of friendly faces on that special night.

Nance spent four seasons in Cleveland, averaging 9.5 points and 7.5 rebounds during that time.
He spent plenty of time with Love and surely grew quite close with him and saw his power and personality up close.
As for Love, he was in Cleveland for nine seasons and averaged 15.7 points and 9.2 rebounds.
He was also famously part of the Cavaliers squad that won a championship in 2016.
Since then, Love has moved on to the Miami Heat, while Nance played for the Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, and now the Atlanta Hawks.
But even though they no longer play together, Nance and Love seem to like one another quite a bit.
A lot of NBA players have nothing but great things to say about Love, who first entered the league back in 2008.
He has made close friendships with many people and is now a mentor for a lot of younger stars who want to emulate his career.
It makes a lot of sense that the Cavaliers want to retire his jersey because Love was a vital part of the team for many years and also a crucial component of their chemistry and culture.
Nance surely won’t be the only former teammate celebrating Love during his jersey retirement.
