Once again, the Cleveland Cavaliers are in the middle of an impressive winning streak.
While they haven’t put on a 15-game winning stretch like they did to start the year, they have won ten straight, which is difficult to do.
They’ve beaten several strong teams throughout this span, including the Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, Orlando Magic, and Detroit Pistons.
Their latest win came against the Portland Trail Blazers, a game that went into overtime, but they were victorious nonetheless.
Teams that perform well in overtime situations are typically strong in the postseason, as they demonstrate to themselves that they can win in high-pressure situations, even when they’re extra tired.
This was a true team win from the Cavaliers, who received strong production from several of their stars, including a newcomer to the team, as head coach Kenny Atkinson mentioned in a postgame interview.
“De’Andre [Hunter] really took us from the abyss and got us a W,” Atkinson said.
Kenny Atkinson Postgame After Win vs Trail Blazers:
“[1:30] For us to make that comeback, I didn’t think we were gonna win the game. I really didn’t…..De’Andre [Hunter] really took us from the abyss and got us a W. [2:23, Officiating] The game was so choppy…. I just thought… pic.twitter.com/PqKHymLZDv

Atkinson gave Hunter plenty of praise for his role in this win, a player who is getting more and more comfortable with his position on the Cavaliers as the year goes on.
The team traded for him at the deadline, and while there were some mixed reactions at the time, he could be the boost the Cavaliers needed to make a deeper postseason run.
At the very least, Hunter provides depth for them, but at his best, he can be necessary star power alongside the trio of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley.
The Cavaliers will test their 10-game winning streak against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, hoping to extend it to 11.
