The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to be the team to beat in the Association.
With their win over the Detroit Pistons, they’re now a league-best 22-3 at home.
On top of their dominance at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, they’ve also extended their dominance over the Pistons.
As shown by Cavs Notes on X, the Cavs have now won 11 games in a row against the Pistons.

Of course, that also gave Kenny Atkinson bragging rights over his predecessor, J.B. Bickerstaff.
However, it’s important to point out that the Pistons have been among the absolute worst teams in the league for years, but that is certainly not true this season.
Despite losing Jaden Ivey for weeks with an injury, Bickerstaff’s team has looked much better this season, even winning eight of ten games at one point.
The Pistons have officially entered the playoff race, and that’s no minor thing.
The Cavs’ ability to repeatedly defeat them could prove advantageous in the postseason, as they’ve clearly demonstrated how to outplay them on both ends of the court.
As things stand now, the Pistons are a potential opponent in the first round of the postseason.
The Cavs won’t have that much time to celebrate, though.
They have matchups with the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks up next, two of the few teams that have been able to beat them this season.
Needless to say, they will approach those rematches as postseason contests, and it’ll be very challenging for coach Atkinson.
