The Cleveland Cavaliers now hold a 34-5 record after their Tuesday night win over the Indiana Pacers.
That is an incredible feat, but are they strong enough to break the record created by the Golden State Warriors in 2016?
That team went 73-9, something that no one has done since.
But can the Cavaliers pull it off?
Speaking on “Run It Back,” Lou Wiliams said they can.
He noted that the Cavs are “trending in the right direction” and “proving a lot of guys wrong.”
Unless injuries get in the way, this team could definitely meet or beat the 2016 Warriors.

That 2016 Warriors team is still talked about as a unit that consistently overcame their opponents and was a huge threat on both ends of the court.
That sounds a lot like this season’s Cavaliers.
As Williams said, the team can do it as long as they remain healthy.
All Cleveland fans remember that last year was thrown off track because of physical problems that plagued the roster.
This year, the Cavaliers haven’t had serious injuries to impact them and hopefully that continues.
If they can avoid that, they can remain in the running to top the 2016 Warriors.
Even if they don’t do that, this is a team that has proven they have what it takes and should be taken seriously for the years ahead.
They have already silenced even the harshest critics and, like Williams said, continue to trend in the right direction.
Now it’s time to see if they can win a championship, and make history.
