The 33-4 Cleveland Cavaliers have been an absolute force through the first half of the season.
They are currently riding a 12-game winning streak on the heels of a 15-0 start.
After a couple of years of playoff disappointments, many are reserving judgment on this team based on how things unfold in the postseason, yet one analyst already believes the team has had a good season.
In a recent episode of Full Court Cleveland, team broadcaster Rafa Hernandez-Brito is done with people not believing in this team and withholding reservations until January or the All-Star Game, saying “I think we have answered It’s no longer a good start, it’s a good season that we have going.”

As the season nears the halfway point, Hernandez-Brito is right, as 33-4 is much more than just a start.
The Cavs are solidifying themselves as legitimate contenders and proving they have taken a major step forward from the young, ascending team that made the playoffs each of the last two years.
After reaching the second round of the playoffs last year, the Cavs are raising expectations for this year and could have four All-Stars when the teams get announced in a few weeks.
If they keep going at this pace, they could somehow challenge the 73-9 Golden State Warriors from 2016, which would make anything short of a title a disappointment.
Everyone should avoid getting ahead of themselves and simply enjoy the ride, which has been fun so far.
Cleveland plays two games against the Indiana Pacers next before a potential NBA Finals preview against the Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City Thunder, whom Cleveland defeated earlier in the week.
