Darius Garland of the Cleveland Cavaliers had an explosive game on Thursday, posting 40 points and nine assists against the Toronto Raptors.
It was a sensational night for Garland and further proof of him having a great season.
Because of this, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com believes the perception of Garland is changing.
“I think the conversation surrounding Cavs Darius Garland is honestly starting to shift from whether he is an All-Star to whether there’s a legitimate case for him to be voted as the second starter at guard, alongside teammate Donovan Mitchell,” Fedor wrote on X.

Garland has been All-Star once before, during the 2021-22 season.
Since then, he hasn’t made the cut while other guards across the league have secured their spots.
But this year things could be different.
Even though they may not get as much attention as other inferior teams, the Cavaliers are now taken seriously as true championship contenders.
And Garland is proving himself as one of the best guards in the league, so why wouldn’t he be in next month’s All-Star Game?
In the latest round of All-Star voting results, Garland secured 238,358 votes.
That puts him ahead of Tyler Herro but behind players like Jordan Poole, Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Maxey and others.
There is still time for Garland to get more support and work his way into the game.
It’ll take a lot of work from supporters, but he clearly has a fan base that believes in him.
There have been many instances of players not making the All-Star Game even though they deserved it, but it would be a real shame if Garland missed out during this season he’s having.
