The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, which could be their most impressive victory to date.
Many analysts and fans were unsure if the Cavaliers could pull it off, but when the clock struck zero, they came out on top.
If someone just heard that the Cavaliers beat the Thunder, they might assume that Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland took over in this game and that they were able to dominate on both ends.
However, that wasn’t the case for Mitchell, who had one of his worst statistical games of the season.
Instead, other players stepped up where they were needed, helping this team pull off a convincing win.
One of those players was Ty Jerome, who ended the game with 15 points and two rebounds, all while playing just 12 minutes.
He talked about this in an interview shared by FanDuel Sports Network Cleveland on X, taking a team-first mindset with his analysis.
“Your best player doesn’t have his best game, and everyone else just steps up. We had seven guys in double figures, I think, which is just a testament to our depth,” Jerome said.

Depth has been the story for the Cavaliers all season, and as Jerome mentioned, it was key for their win against the Thunder.
Mitchell wasn’t able to have the kind of impact that the team had come to expect from him, but it didn’t matter.
He got out of the way enough for his teammates to overcome his shortfalls, the sign of a strong team with good chemistry.
