After winning their first 15 games of this season, the Cleveland Cavaliers have now lost two of their last four games, including Wednesday’s contest against the Atlanta Hawks.
In that contest, they gave up a season-high 135 points and allowed the Hawks to shoot a blistering 20-of-42 from 3-point range.
Still, Cavs broadcaster Rafa Hernandez-Brito is encouraged by what he has seen, and he said he’s not overly concerned with how many regular-season games the team ends up winning.
“The only record I care about is winning the last game of the season,” Hernandez-Brito.
Despite a loss last night, the #Cavs have kept the right mentality to start the season.

The broadcaster referenced the magical 2015-16 season, when Cleveland won a strong 57 regular-season games but didn’t have home-court advantage in the NBA Finals, yet managed to overcome a 3-1 series deficit there to defeat the Golden State Warriors, who had won a record 73 games.
Right now, Cleveland has a 17-2 record, which is the best mark in the league, but the defending world champion Boston Celtics are breathing down their necks with a 15-3 record and a six-game winning streak.
The Cavs will face the Hawks again on Friday, and they will get another shot at the Celtics, this time at home, on Sunday.
Last Tuesday, they fell short to Boston, 120-117, to end their winning streak to begin the season.
Cleveland ranks first in the NBA in points per game, field-goal percentage, 3-point accuracy and offensive rating, and with every win, more people are starting to believe the team has become a legitimate championship contender.
A win over Jayson Tatum and crew would go a long way in proving that it has truly taken a big step forward this season.
