The Cleveland Cavaliers hit the ground running to get their 17th win.
Kenny Atkinson’s team had a 16-point lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Raptors made it a close game in the next two periods, but they hung on to win and clamped down on defense when it mattered the most.
The Cavaliers got the best of their slumping Eastern Conference foes with a 122-108 triumph.
When asked about the game, Coach Atkinson gave his guys credit for hanging in there despite being “a little off,” lauding their physicality and how they took care of business.
“We just needed to get downhill and get them off of us. We went to our, football, just pitch it to the tailback and let him run around—- I thought we were a little off but credit to the guys for coming out with the W—- The moment he [Ty Jerome] has stepped in the gym, he has been phenomenal….. He’s at a state of grace right now. It’s beautiful to watch,” he said.

The Cavs have the best offense in the entire league right now.
They have seven players averaging double figures, with Ty Jerome being the best sixth man in the league by a significant margin.
Given how things have transpired and all the injuries, the Raptors aren’t a barometer for determining a team’s quality.
Nonetheless, you can only beat whoever is in front of you, and good teams are supposed to beat bad teams by a margin; that’s just how it is.
The Cavaliers aren’t playing down to their competitors; they continue to push hard regardless of the opposition.
They continue to hang onto the No. 1 spot in the Eastern Conference, and while this win rate might not be sustainable for an entire season, there’s no reason to believe they can’t finish the year with the best record in the Association.
