The Cleveland Cavaliers keep winning.
Kenny Atkinson’s team is on a roll, and they didn’t need much time to bounce back from their first loss of the season.
However, they needed a big game from a new unsung hero.
The Cavaliers started rookie SG/SF Jaylon Tyson, who had barely played in the first 16 games of the season.
He responded by knocking down his first six shots and finishing the game with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists.
When asked about that, the first-year pro out of Cali was humbled and thankful for the opportunity, adding that he made the most of it (via Serena Winters).

He also talked about how important it had been for him to learn from the veterans before getting his number called.
Coach Atkinson admitted he was reluctant to roll with Tyson in the starting lineup as he had barely played.
Assistant coach DeMarre Carroll had to talk him into it, and while he wasn’t sure, it worked.
The Cavaliers needed someone to step up with Darius Garland out, and Ty Jerome and Tyson combined to give the team the scoring punch they needed.
Again, the game wasn’t close, showing that the Cavaliers are more than just a three-headed monster.
Tyson might not get to stay in the starting lineup going forward.
But with this strong performance and the poise and confidence he displayed, it’s safe to assume that he’ll get more playing time.
