The Cleveland Cavaliers have found strength in numbers this season.
They’ve found success because of a collective effort rather than just one or two players doing all the heavy lifting.
That’s what helped them win their first 15 games of the season.
Even though that didn’t help in their loss to the Boston Celtics, it was still refreshing to see some unlikely contributors step up.
As CavsMuse on X pointed out, second-year guard Craig Porter Jr. had one of his most impressive performances yet.
Porter chipped in with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting, adding three three-pointers on as many attempts, three rebounds, and three assists.

Unfortunately, that still wasn’t enough to prevent the first setback of the season for the Cavaliers.
Even so, Kenny Atkinson’s team still has the best record in the league at 15-1, and while it’s never encouraging to lose, the fact that they managed to keep it so close against the defending NBA champions should be a good sign.
The Cavs are proving that this strong start to the season wasn’t a fluke.
As for Porter, he made a strong impression and might push to have an expanded role in the future.
As of now, he’s averaging 3.3 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 60% from the floor and 62% from deep and playing just 8.7 minutes per game.
He’s now topped the 20-minute mark in back-to-back games, so those numbers will only be trending up for the remainder of the season.
