When the Cleveland Cavaliers traded for Donovan Mitchell, many doubted the organization’s decision to make the move, but the 27-year-old guard has proven his doubters wrong.
He led the Cavaliers to a fourth-seed finish in the 2022-23 NBA season, although they were eliminated in the opening round of the playoffs.
He also earned a nod to become an NBA All-Star for the fourth time in his career.
Speaking of which, Mitchell recently received news about becoming an NBA All-Star for the fifth time in his career.
Mitchell shared his reaction to the news via his official Twitter handle after many believed he was snubbed by the league when he missed out on becoming a starter for the Eastern Conference.
“God is good,” Mitchell tweeted.

Mitchell didn’t have a lengthy reaction to the news as he posted a three-word message on Twitter.
Mitchell has truly impressed fans with his performance during the season, and it’s no surprise that he has been named one of the reserves for this year’s highly-anticipated game.
Speaking of Mitchell’s stats, he has averaged 28.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game for the Cavaliers in 37 appearances this season.
While Mitchell’s scoring output doesn’t come as a surprise, he has improved his playmaking ability by a considerable margin this year.
Thanks to Mitchell’s new playing style, the Cleveland Cavaliers have become one of the most consistent teams in the league this season.
The organization is currently the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with an incredible 30-16 record.
