The Cleveland Cavaliers’ 2023-24 campaign has been plagued by one injury after another.
The Cavaliers may be in a playoff spot right now, but they could be much higher than the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference if they were healthy.
The Cavaliers are currently playing without key players Ricky Rubio, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley, but that’s not the end of trouble for the organization.
4-time All-Star Donovan Mitchell picked up a shoulder injury during the Cavaliers’ Monday win over the Houston Rockets.
Many are worried about Mitchell’s injury status, and thankfully, he provided a positive update about it via Sam Amico on Twitter.
“I feel great, just ran into the stanchion. I’ll be fine for, I don’t know what day it is, but whenever we play Utah,” Mitchell said.
Mitchell ran into stanchion late in Monday’s win over Rockets. Shoulder was clearly bothering him as result.
Here’s what he said after the game: “I feel great, just ran into the stanchion. I’ll be fine for, I don’t know what day it is, but whenever we play Utah. Wednesday.”… https://t.co/XT8OZFuv7W

Mitchell did agree that he is facing a slight issue in his shoulder after running into a stanchion during the Cavaliers’ matchup against the Rockets.
But Mitchell revealed that it’s not a huge injury that will keep him sidelined.
In fact, Mitchell confirmed that he will be available for the Cavaliers’ Wednesday night game against the Utah Jazz.
It’s certainly good news for the fans to hear that Donovan Mitchell is fine, as he is averaging 27.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game and shooting a respectable 45.3% from the field and 35.1% from the three-point line.
He is undoubtedly the best player on the current Cavaliers roster, and losing him would have proven catastrophic for a team that is already dealing with multiple injuries to their key starters.
