The Cleveland Cavaliers found an immensely talented high-schooler during the 2003 NBA Draft.
Yes, we are talking about none other than the number one overall pick in the draft, LeBron James.
During the 2000s, LeBron James helped the Cleveland Cavaliers in becoming one of the most popular teams in the NBA.
A perfect example of James’ impact on the Cavaliers was recently shown by Tyrese Haliburton announcing that he grew up a Cavaliers fan during his childhood.
“Growing up, I was a Cavs fan…,” Haliburton said.
Like most 2000's kids, Tyrese Haliburton grew up watching LeBron James play basketball.
Now, fate and a career-altering trade have brought the two together for the first-ever In-Season Tournament championship game.@joevardon on the matchup ⤵️https://t.co/GrA5bY8xWi pic.twitter.com/5zlxwWnM1m

Apart from growing up as a Cavaliers fan, Haliburton also pointed out how he was briefly a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers before getting drafted into the NBA.
The breakout NBA star mentioned that it’s an honor for him to face off against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the finals of the NBA In-Season Tournament.
All things considered, it’s great to see that Haliburton will fulfill his dream of facing off against James in the NBA In-Season Tournament finals game.
Haliburton is averaging 26.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 12.1 assists per game for the Pacers.
On the other hand, his opponent and former member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James, is heading into the game while averaging 25.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game.
Keeping that in mind, it will be a great game for fans who will be present in Las Vegas for the inaugural NBA Cup game.
Can Haliburton defeat his childhood idol? If he wishes to do that, it will take everything in his arsenal to outplay the four-time NBA MVP.
