The Cleveland Cavaliers will travel to South Beach for their much-anticipated battle against the Miami Heat tonight.
It will be the first time that the two sides will play against each other this season, and it’s expected to be an emotional game for one player.
Yes, we are talking about none other than Max Struss, who will play his first game against his former team following his departure this past summer.
Strus shared his thoughts on playing against familiar faces via Chris Fedor on Twitter.
“Don’t know if I’m really prepared for it,” Strus said.
#Cavs Max Strus' return to Miami wasn't supposed to be until March. Plenty of time to set up plans & prep for an emotional trip down memory lane. But NBA threw a curveball. Instead of months, he had just 9 days

After going undrafted in 2019 and getting by the Chicago Bulls after just two games, the Miami Heat showed trust in Max Strus.
The talented forward spent three years of his career wearing the Heat jersey and will now play against them for the first time since joining the Cleveland Cavaliers.
While Strus wanted to return to the Heat in the offseason, the two sides failed to agree on a fair deal.
As a result, Strus bid farewell to the Heat following a three-team sign-and-trade deal that resulted in the veteran forward landing a four-year, $63 million contract from the Cavaliers.
In his first season with the team, Strus is averaging 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game for the Cavs.
But as Strus mentioned earlier, he is a tad bit underprepared to play against his former team tonight.
While Struss played just three years with the Heat, the organization undoubtedly holds a special place in his heart.
Will Struss shine against his former basketball club? Only time will tell.
