The Cleveland Cavaliers need Evan Mobley to take another leap.
For years, experts and fans claimed that his development was the team’s X-factor, and last season proved that to be the case.
That’s why it’s nice to see that the All-Star is putting in a lot of work on his handles.
As shown by Hoodi Garland on X, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year is looking to get better when the Cavs have the ball.

Being able to drive the ball up the court and operating in tight and crowded spaces will be crucial to unleash yet another level of his offensive game.
While his scoring numbers remained similar last season, Mobley became much more efficient and consistent in his first year under head coach Kenny Atkinson.
Mobley was more aggressive and assertive, demanding the ball, and was significantly more confident with his shot.
He expanded his range and finally became a consistent shooter from 3-point range, which was instrumental to the team’s pace-and-space offensive system.
Mobley might not be the team’s leading scorer, but he’s arguably their best, most talented and most important player.
For now, Donovan Mitchell will lead the way as the primary scoring threat.
But if the Cavaliers want to get over the hump in the postseason, they need to build their offense and their team around Mobley.
Last season was just the beginning, and that should be a scary thought for the rest of the NBA.
