The Cleveland Cavaliers are facing adversity.
They will hit the road and go to Indianapolis for the next two games of the series.
Going 0-2 at home and then having to climb back in a hostile environment is far from ideal, especially against such a talented team.
However, as tough as things look right now, Brian Windhorst believes there’s still a path to get back in this series.
Talking to Tony Rizzo on ESPN Cleveland’s “The Really Big Show,” the renowned analyst stated that the Indiana Pacers were due for some regression.
“If you want to know their pathway to winning four out of the next five games, it’s that this team has an enormous margin for error because they’re an awesome team,” Windhorst said.

He claimed that Tyrese Haliburton was knocking down some otherworldly shots, and he doesn’t think that having him shoot 60% from the field will be sustainable.
Haliburton is a streaky shooter, and the Cavs need to be more physical with him.
Kenny Atkinson should also get more efficiency from Donovan Mitchell, who has shot just 2-for-18 from beyond the arc through the first two games of the series.
The Cavs were down three key players, but they still managed to put the Pacers against the ropes, so it’s not like they don’t have what it takes to win.
Also, they had some impressive winning streaks during the regular season, so stringing wins together shouldn’t be much of an issue.
Even so, there’s no more margin for error; they need to win Games 3 and 4 and bring the series back to Cleveland.
They can’t afford to be outhustled or outworked anymore, and they need to make a statement to regain some confidence after Tuesday night’s debacle.
