The Cleveland Cavaliers were stunned in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, losing to the Indiana Pacers by nine points.
Many believed the Cavaliers would win this game and series with ease, but the Pacers demonstrated that they came to play and that they weren’t going down without a fight.
It didn’t help that De’Andre Hunter suffered a hand injury during this game, and his status for Game 2 was immediately called into question.
If Hunter doesn’t suit up for that game, the Cavaliers could be in trouble, losing one of their most important depth pieces.
Thankfully, Hunter seems to believe he’ll be more than ready for that contest.
When he was asked about Game 2 and if he would be able to play, Hunter quickly responded, “for sure.”

This is music to fans’ ears, as Hunter had a +7 grade in Game 1, an indication that the team was much better with him on the floor than they were without him.
Whether he’ll be 100 percent healthy remains to be seen, but this is at least good news, initially.
The Cavaliers can’t afford to drop another game at home to the Pacers, as going down 2-0 in a series is usually the kiss of death for teams, as it is incredibly difficult to bounce back at that point.
As they demonstrated during the regular season, this team is full of fight and doesn’t quit, so fans aren’t ready to count them out yet.
Thankfully, they only have to wait one day for the Cavaliers to play again, as their next matchup is on Tuesday, May 6th.
