The Cleveland Cavaliers had the best record in the Eastern Conference last season.
That was despite not having the biggest names in the NBA.
Yet, their stars took the league by storm and proved that they can compete with any team.
With that in mind, Hard Rock Bet recently named Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley as the third-best duo in the Eastern Conference.

They’re behind Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic and Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks.
Notably, they were ranked ahead of Trae Young and Kristaps Porzingis of the Atlanta Hawks, and Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey of the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Cavs looked poised to make a deep postseason run and perhaps could have won the Eastern Conference Finals.
Unfortunately, they didn’t look ready and determined in the postseason, and the Indiana Pacers weren’t a good matchup, leading to a second-round elimination.
Teams often need to go through heartbreak before being able to get to the next level.
Hopefully, that will be the case for the Cavs, as they haven’t broken up their core four and will run it back with this group of players.
They’ve already shown that they can compete at the highest level in the regular season, and now it’s time they do so in the playoffs.
