Ever since the Cleveland Cavaliers traded for Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz, the team has been on the radar of many more fans across the NBA.
In fact, there are now legions of people who believe that the team could make its way towards the top of the Eastern Conference – some are even predicting they could finally return to the NBA Finals.

Bleacher Report now ranks the Cavs’ starting lineup as the fourth best in the entire NBA.
You can understand why they ranked them so high: the team has Darius Garland as point guard, Caris LeVert as small forward, Evan Mobley as power forward, Jarrett Allen as center, and now Mitchell as shooting guard.
Yes, that’s a pretty great group of young men – but what happens if they don’t meet expectations?
Critiquing Cleveland
The Cavaliers really need to make a huge impression on the rest of the league during the 2022-23 season.
They have so much potential and so much excitement from fans that if they fall short, it’ll sting quite badly.
The team is now in the position where they have to come out swinging and really have results or else people will immediately start suggesting that they’re a disappointment or coming up short.
The Cavaliers are aware of that and they are going to do their best to exceed the supremely high expectations laid before them.
They have a good chance of doing just that because of this stunning starting lineup.
But they will have some truly fierce competition from other teams in the East, namely the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks.
Can they overcome those squads and sit at the top of the Eastern Conference or will they remain towards the middle of the pack?
