After their last season, the Cleveland Cavaliers gave their fans something to celebrate.
It’s true that they didn’t reach the playoffs as they had hoped but they played with a lot of spirit and enthusiasm.
Ultimately, they showed that they have the foundation for a team that can go far.
They also showed that Cleveland should finally be excited about its basketball team again.

Sure enough, one well known Cleveland resident is ready to root on the Cavs.
Browns star Myles Garrett showed up for the Cavaliers Summer League game on Sunday night, sporting his very own Cavaliers jersey and visiting the locker room of the team before they took on the Denver Nuggets.
Garrett – like many others from Cleveland – knows just what a special young squad the team is.
What’s Next For Cleveland?
The Summer League is a time for young players and rookies to test their skills on the court and prepare for a possible NBA season.
For the Cavaliers, it’s a time to get a good look at new recruits like Ochai Agbaji, the first-round talent that has many Cavs fans buzzing.
His game on Sunday wasn’t as stellar as he had hoped: he scored 9 points while going 3-of-11 on shooting.
Another newcomer, Isaiah Mobley, also struggled a bit with 8 points on 4-of-11.
But the game wasn’t just about making buckets, it was about finding a comfort level on the floor that can be carried over into the regular season.
Both of these young players will be entering a team that is youthful and exciting and ready to build upon a great previous season.
