The Cleveland Cavaliers did quite well on Wednesday night, taking down Luka Doncic and his Dallas Mavericks in Texas, 105-90.
The win was important for a number of reasons: it gave them another victory, it showed they can slow down Doncic, and it let the backcourt flourish even more.
For months now, that backcourt for the Cavs has been talked about as possibly the best in the league.
And the numbers back that up!

But beyond the numbers, the pairing of Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell is just so flat-out fun to watch.
In the opening moments of the game, the two worked together flawlessly, with Garland putting up a smooth three-point shot after an assist from Garland.
This just goes to show what the Cavaliers are working with – and what the rest of the NBA is learning to fear.
The Cavs Crew
During the game against the Mavericks, Garland and Mitchell led the way.
Mitchell put up 34 points and Garland was good for 12 of his own, with an impressive 6 assists.
They were working in perfect tandem, just as head coach JB Bickerstaff wrote it up.
The backcourt of the Cavaliers is scoring about 51 points on the average per game, which ranks them as the best in the entire league.
The duo of Garland and Mitchell has quite literally become second to none.
Now the question is if this team can go all the way and push deep into the playoffs this year.
Right now, they are looking poised for serious postseason greatness and their chances are better than they have been in years.
The competition will be tough but it’s clear that Garland and Mitchell are leading this team and leading them well.
