When people talk about the 2024-2025 Cleveland Cavaliers, they often mention Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen.
These are often the four biggest stars on the team, the players who make the most consistent impact every night.
While the Cavaliers certainly have some star power, they’ve also been lauded for having a deep bench, which is often the mark of a team that can make a deep run in the playoffs.
The Cavaliers can rely on their second unit to play well when their starters need rest, a unit that holds their own against some of the best opponents in the league.
One player in particular who has shined off the bench this year is Ty Jerome, as Sleeper Hoops pointed out on X.
He’s been especially impactful over his past five outings as he has been the best bench player in the league during that stretch in points, FGM, steals, and plus/minus.

All of these categories would be impressive on their own, but Jerome has proven that he can get it done in many areas, a needed asset for the Cavaliers moving forward.
Mitchell and Garland can’t do it every night, and when they struggle to find traction, Jerome is often there to pick them up when they need a boost of energy.
It’s unclear, at this point, if the Cavaliers are going to win the NBA Finals.
There’s plenty of season left to be played, but if this team keeps performing as well as they have all year, the rest of the league could be put on notice moving forward.
