The Cleveland Cavaliers have been planning ahead for the upcoming season, and their new rookie pick is a big part of those plans.
Ochai Agbaji was the number 14 pick in last week’s NBA Draft and there are high hopes for him – not only with the team’s coaching staff and players but from fans all over the country.
Agbaji is likely feeling the reality of his situation since he now has an official Cavaliers jersey.

It’s been announced that Agbaji will wear number 30 for Cleveland when the new season begins.
The last person to wear 30 was Dahntay Jones back in 2017 but now Agbaji wants to take the number and make it his own.
Is this the start of a brilliant NBA career?
Ochai Officially On Board
Agbaji has already said how at home he feels with his new team and has said that he feels very much comfortable with the franchise that selected him.
But what is it about the young player that attracted the team’s front office?
Head coach J.B. Bickerstaff had nothing but praise for the former Kansas student, saying he could be a weapon for the Cavs.
“He’s got a skill that, no matter where you are in the NBA, you need it. He has the ability to put the ball in the basket, and it’s not the ability to just stand in a spot and make a shot,” Bickerstaff told The Topkea Capital-Journal after the draft.
Agbaji is already a national champion but he desperately wants to convert the success he found in college into the NBA.
As for the rest of the Cleveland team, they’ve been waiting for a few extra puzzle pieces to make them even greater and they all truly feel Agbaji could be one.
