The Cleveland Cavaliers have a few new additions for 2023-24.
While they weren’t involved in massive blockbuster trades during the summer, the front office made smart choices in order to bolster the roster and make it stronger in every way.
Max Strus and Georges Niang were just a couple of the new players who provided quotes in a new video that Bally Sports Cleveland shared on Twitter.
One thing is very clear: these players don’t feel pressure to change who they are, but they do feel a strong desire to win.
“Our guys know those guys are brought here to fill gaps and bring a skillset that the team needed and they know those guys are going to help and ultimately all our guys want to do is win,” head coach J.B. Bickerstaff said at the end of the video.

Tristan Thompson and Emoni Bates are two other players who signed up with the team in the summer.
Those two didn’t get a chance to play in the team’s opening night game against the Brooklyn Nets but Strus and Niang did.
Niang wasn’t able to score at all, although he did post four rebounds.
As for Strus, he blew fans away with his 27 points and 12 rebounds.
In the video, Niang noted that the team was already quite good last year and that the front office isn’t trying to reinvent things.
Instead, they just want the team to get better, and that is what the new recruits are tasked with doing.
The Cavaliers won their first game of the season, and they looked a lot like the team fans saw last year.
Now their plan is to get even better.
