The Cleveland Cavaliers have seen their fair share of ups and downs early in the 2023-24 NBA season.
Despite finishing the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference last season, the Cavaliers are off to a 4-6 start in the new season.
But considering the Cavs have won two games against the Golden State Warriors, they surely have a shot at being a good team as the season progresses.
Following the recent 120-132 defeat against the Sacramento Kings, NBA analyst Brian Windhorst issued a warning to team head coach J.B. Bickerstaff via ESPN Cleveland on Twitter.
“If they’re under .500 at the 20 game mark, he’s going to be under some fire,” Windhorst said.

As Windhorst pointed out, the Cavaliers organization is currently being patient with Bickerstaff despite the team’s underwhelming start to the season.
But the front office may soon put Bickerstaff on the hot seat if the current form of the team continues over the next few weeks.
Windhorst gave the Cavs head coach a deadline of 20 games into the season as the deadline to improve the team’s current record.
If the Cavaliers still have a record below the .500 mark, Windhorst believes the organization may berate Bickerstaff for the result.
Of course, the fanbase wants the team to not only clinch a playoff berth but also make a deep run in the playoffs.
But if the Cavaliers are below the .500 mark by the time 20 games pass, it may become a tough task to turn the season around with depleted morale.
Can Bickerstaff find a way to get the best out of the Cleveland Cavaliers players, or will he get fired in the middle of the season? Only time will tell.
