Indeed, when many people look at Strus they do not imagine someone who would be performing so many strong, highlight-worthy dunks.
But he believes that he deserves more credit than he gets.
This Friday night dunk, over Pistons rookie Ausar Thompson, definitely got a lot of people talking.
Strus is happy with that because he is trying to have an impact on his new team and also make fans very happy that he signed with them in the offseason.
He even suggested that he’d be open to the idea of participating in this season’s NBA dunk content.
Friday night was a good evening for the Cavaliers, who finally earned their second consecutive win, partly because of the hard work of players like Strus.
In just a few short weeks, he has become a fan favorite and a vital part of the team’s offense.
He is averaging 14.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists so far in 2023-24.
Strus will have to continue to produce strong numbers, especially in the games ahead, because the Cavaliers are set to face off against the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers in the next few days.
Following that, Strus will play against his former team, the Miami Heat.
What are the chances that he dunks over Jimmy Butler?
