The Cleveland Cavaliers were the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference during the 2022-23 NBA season.
Keeping that in mind, many had great expectations for the 2023-24 NBA season, but the organization has performed far better than those expectations.
After all, with the NBA All-Star break right around the corner, the Cavs have clinched the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Cavaliers’ sensational performance over the past few months has caught many by surprise.
At the end of the day, the supporters of the franchise are having a field day, which includes NBA legend Mark Price.
Price recently shared his thoughts on his former team becoming the second seed in the East via his official Twitter handle.
“I woke up this morning and the Cavs are 2nd in the East! I like the sound of that,” Price tweeted.
I woke up this morning and the @cavs are 2nd in the East! 🔥🏀
I like the sound of that…Go @cavs#MakingSomeNoise— Mark Price (@Mark25Price) February 6, 2024
Price was elated after finding out that the Cavs had surpassed the Milwaukee Bucks to become the second seed in the East.
Price is undoubtedly one of the best players in the history of the Cavaliers organization, as he donned the team’s jersey for nine years.
The retired Cavs star also earned four NBA All-Star appearances when he played for the franchise.
Coming back to the Cavaliers’ performance this season, the organization currently flaunts an incredible 32-16 record.
The primary credit for the team’s excellent record goes to their performance in the last 15 games of the season when the Cavaliers attained a league-best 14-1 record.
With each passing game, it’s becoming clear that the Cavaliers haven’t reached this level by fluke and they should be considered one of the favorites to win the 2024 NBA championship.
