The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently in a great place in the NBA due to the phenomenal performances of the current core of the team.
Sure, fans love the trio of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Jarrett Allen, but prior to them, one player was a humongous favorite.
Yes, we are talking about none other than former number-one overall draft pick Kyrie Irving.
Irving spent the first few years of his career with the Cavaliers and even played a crucial role in leading the team to the 2016 NBA championship.
However, Irving demanded a trade from the organization after the 2016-17 season.
At the time, the fanbase’s love for Irving faded away as he was traded to conference rivals, the Boston Celtics.
But fast forward to today and whenever Irving returns to Cleveland, he is treated with respect by the fans.
The respect is mutual as Irving posted a message for the Cavs fans via his official Twitter handle.
“It will always be Love from me and my Tribe, Cleveland aka Believeland,” Irving tweeted.
It will always be Love from me and my Tribe, Cleveland aka Believeland. No one will ever be able to take away our banner we won together.
All for one, one for all. What a time. đź’ŤChief HĂ©lĂ

Irving recently played against the Cavaliers in their recent matchup against the Dallas Mavericks.
Irving put on a show as he contributed 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists for the Mavs.
Unfortunately, Irving’s performance was overshadowed by Max Strus, who won the game for the home team with a last-second game-winner from half-court.
Coming back to Irving’s message for the Cavaliers, he shared his love for the team and recalled the time when the organization won the championship.
Considering Irving will soon turn 32 years old, it will be a story-book ending if he re-signs with the Cavaliers for his twilight years in the NBA.
