Even with a 14-0 record, some people don’t think the Cleveland Cavaliers have what it takes to be champions this year.
But one analyst feels they can do it.
Speaking on ESPN, via Dylan on X, Kendrick Perkins made his thoughts clear about this very special team:
“Could Donovan Mitchell, could Darius Garland, could they coexist? The answer is yes. Can Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen coexist? The answer is hell yes. This Cavs team is a legit title contender and a legit threat to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference.”

After years of questions, concerns, and speculation, the Cavaliers have finally come together and everything is clicking into place.
Last season, people were wondering if Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell could work well together.
This year, they are proving they can.
Also last season, many fans said that Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley didn’t fit and needed to be broken up.
This year, no one is saying that.
The addition of head coach Kenny Atkinson and the chemistry of the team has crafted something truly strong in Cleveland, but that hasn’t stopped certain analysts and fans from saying they won’t be able to make it last.
A 14-0 start is wonderful but that doesn’t mean anything in the playoffs if the team folds under pressure again.
Right now, there are no signs of the Cavaliers folding.
The season is still very long and a lot can change between now and the end of it, but more and more people are starting to believe this team could win the title.
