The Cleveland Cavaliers are the best team in the NBA and have won seven games in a row.
They have been great from the start of the season but according to Sam Amico, they have taken things up to “another level” lately.
Speaking on “Full Court Cleveland,” Amico said the team’s defense has been improved over the last few weeks and it’s led them into their new winning streak.
Amico said:
“They’ve taken up the defense another level; that’s the big key.”

This is a team that has been rock solid since the very first game.
They started the season with a 15-0 record, their best start in years and one of the most impressive in NBA history.
They didn’t achieve that simply because their offense was good.
Instead, they have been strong on both ends of the court.
But when the NBA Cup rolled around, it gave the Cavaliers a little time off and head coach Kenny Atkinson used that as an opportunity to improve their defense.
Their frontcourt has gotten stronger and more suffocating and it’s led to wins over the Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, and more.
The fact that they held the Warriors to under 100 points says a lot about their defensive plans.
It’s all working out well for the Cavaliers right now and their goal is to just keep it up.
The season is still very long and there will be many tough opponents waiting for them and attempting to find ways to take them down.
Right now, that feels nearly impossible but the Cavaliers cannot lay off the gas or go easy.
