Over the past couple of years, doubters have claimed that the Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t tough or physical enough.
That hasn’t seemed to be the case this season.
They’ve looked like a more physical team, and, with a few exceptions, they haven’t been pushed or bullied around like in years past.
Notably, that’s why team insider Sam Amico would love to see them face the Orlando Magic in the playoffs.
In the latest edition of his “Full Court Cleveland” podcast, Amico admitted that he would absolutely love to see the Cavs playing a physical and trash-talking team like the Magic just for the sake of the argument.

He believes that beating them will be enough to shut down that narrative once and for all, and he might be right.
While the Magic have deflated after an impressive start to the season, and even though they don’t have one of the peskiest and toughest defenders in the league in Jalen Suggs, they’re still a very physical club.
Also, the Cavs have matched up nicely against them in recent years, and they even knocked them out of the playoffs last season.
They’ve gone 2-1 against them this year, with their only loss being a five-point setback on the road.
The Cavs are the team to beat in the Eastern Conference, so they should fear no team.
But if they can send a message early on and ride some good momentum, it will clearly be a huge motivational boost, not to mention a big blow to the haters.
